No Place Like Home

It is 2011, where are the jet-packs? The flying cars? Teleportation? The future is today. If (when?) they do invent teleportation, the first place I’d beam myself is an easy choice. There is a small po-dunk town south of Houston, where the mosquitoes are progressive and the people are not. That’s where I would teleport [...]

The G.O.A.T.

When I graduated from high school, our class song was Hero, by Mariah Carey. This was not the song I voted for. I voted for Freebird. The classmates who stood in line with me during the voting didn’t know Freebird. Some one said, “How does it go?” Of course, at the time I didn’t know [...]

Job: An Activity Done to Earn Money

I’ve been inspired by the Daily Post. The topic of the day: If you could have any job in the world, what would it be? Bonus: What is the worst job you’ve ever had? What did you learn from it? I had trouble picking a major when I was in college. There were so many [...]

Getting to Feel Free and Easy

I was tagged on Facebook-which isn't quite the same thing as getting tagged during a wrestling tag-team match or a game of hide-and-seek. I was tagged twice in fact--because people want to know more about me. Really? Well, gosh.

Six Silly Things The Make Me Happy

One of the things I always wanted to do with my journals is keep a running tally of the little things that make me happy. It's not a novel idea but a nice reminder to be grateful. I did keep that gratitude journal last year for about 4 months.

When I saw this meme (I can't recall where), I thought it would be fun. So, here's how it works:

List six silly things that make you happy.

Mention and link to the person who tagged you (oops, I wasn't tagged and I don't remember where I saw it)

Tag six of your favorite bloggers to play along (no tagging, if you'd like to participate, that's is entirely up to you as a reader of living juicy.)

In no particular order, with photos, six silly things that make me happy:

Couple’s Quiz

We saw this couple’s quiz on a few Websites and also over at Facebook. Katie tagged us to do the quiz, so Chris and I decided to do it together, sequestered, and see if we’d answer the same. Here are the results. The questions: Chris said: Syd said: What are your middle names? Marie & [...]

For Those Who Would Like To Know

Okay, it’s time to unveil the truth. 1. I worked for Michael Graves design studio in Princeton, NJ. True. It was the summer I turned 17 years old. My aunt and uncle invited me up to live with them for the summer and they both worked for Michael. They landed me an intern gig, filing [...]

Wouldn’t You Like To Know

I found this meme over at Making It Lovely and even though I wasn’t tagged, I decided to participate. Rules of the game: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to then report this on their own blog with their 7 things as well as these rules. They [...]
