Goodness on The Net

It’s Friday (yipee) and time for Internet link goodness. Except, to my dismay, when I opened my “gleaned” folder I found it empty. However, the Internet has been kind today and I have found several good things to share.

The Mayfly Project
Found through Kinkish The Mayfly Project 2007, proposes that you sum up your 2007 in twenty-four words. Here is my entry:

Melancholy sprouted buds of hope once baked in desert goodness blossomed in homey places as a new year dawned and hope became faith.

An interview with Will Self
Found through Keri Smith Will Self has written a collection of essays about his walks around the world in psychogeography.

Like writing—which is low start-up, all you need is a pen and a piece of paper—psychogeography is bare-bones. You just get out there and experience. It doesn’t require the hypermediated world, it is more akin to a meditational practice.

Midnight Hummus by Mighty Foods
Found through Felicia Sullivan’s Blogroll

I recently discovered a tahini made from black sesame seeds and was inspired to make black hummus by replacing traditional white sesame tahini and cream-colored chickpeas with black tahini and beluga lentils – the result is a beautiful midnight-hued dip.

Fight Club: The Musical?
Found through Literary Kicks.

Trent Reznor has expressed interest in developing the music and Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk is keen on the idea. Fincher has previously expressed interest in the project asking, “Can you imagine people in New Jersey paying $120 to drive to the city and watch a musical about anarchy?”
